It was the 1991 San Diego Supercross. Jeff Stanton was the defending champion. Runner up the year before was Damon Bradshaw. JM Bayle would go on to win the Supercross Championship that year. Little did I know this would be my last American Supercross

In 91 he won everything in AMA MX: 250 SX Series, 250 Nationals, 500 Nationals. Promoters sometimes built a rivalry between USA & foreign riders & some misunderstood because of language, but he was a good guy & a great rider
